Katy Perry has been busy in the studio, finalizing songs off her forthcoming fourth studio album, which the singer/songwriter promises will usher in a new era of "Purposeful Pop."
Fresh off the release of her lead single, "Chained to the Rhythm," and a politically charged performance at the Brit Awards, where Perry was joined onstage by a skeletal Donald Trump and Theresa May, she teased this week a new chant-heavy protest anthem: "I will not, will not subscribe," she wails. "Don't ask me, ask me to normalize."
Now, we have yet another taste of the magic Perry's been quietly brewing--on Snapchat, the pop star posted a video of her singing along to an unreleased track with the caption, "I'm a goddess and I know it," lifted from lyrics in the snippet. Though it's difficult to fully decipher the song's production, it sounds like a slower cut with dark, dramatic synthesizers. Listen, below.
