With her song "What About Us" moving into the number 1 spot on the Billboard Adult Pop chart this week, P!nk has broken a tie with Katy Perry to become the female artist with the highest number of Adult Pop top singles in his history.
P!nk now has 9 number 1 Adult Pop Songs--her others include "Just Give Me a Reason," "Who Knew," "So What," "Sober," "Raise Your Glass," "F**kin' Perfect," "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)," and "Try."
The Adult Pop Songs chart was established in 1996 and measures success by weekly plays across 84 of the nation's largest top 40 radio stations. Maroon 5 is the only act with more number 1's than P!nk; they boast 12. Perry has 8, Taylor Swift has 6, and Adele and Nickelback each have 5.
