Out reporter Tracy E. Gilchrist went viral last year for a Wicked interview where she told 2024 Out100 Icon of the Year Cynthia Erivo, alongside Grande, that people were "really taking the lyrics of 'Defying Gravity' and really holding space with that and feeling power in that."
On Friday, Gilchrist and the official Instagram page for Yellowjackets shared a new video where she used her iconic "holding space" catchphrase to promote the third season of the Showtime series. In the comments, Grande confessed that she recently realized the connection she's had with those words all along.
"Omg Tracy I have a very important confession to make," the pop star and Wicked actress wrote. "I entirely forgot about this somehow... but I wrote a lyric all the way back in the spring that says, 'Can you hold the space.' I knew our paths were destined to cross but I didn't know you had been cosmically, secretly, subconsciously with me for so long!!!!"
She concluded, "Anyway, I screamed when I realized. It was all meant to be."

Grande also left a comment reacting to Gilchrist's post about the premiere of Yellowjackets season 3. In the collab video, Gilchrist introduced herself and declared she was "holding space for Yellowjackets season 3."
"Also, I'm so excited to watch," the pop star wrote.
