Welcome back, Out readers!
First of all, I'd love to send a congratulations to Out's sister publication The Advocate, which won the 36th annual GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Magazine Overall Coverage! The Advocate has now won three of the last four years, with Out Magazine winning last year!
I also want to make sure everyone who reads Out.com is watching the new Hulu sitcom Mid-Century Modern, which premired today!
Mid-Century Modern stars Out.com Digital Cover stars Nathan Lane, Nathan Lee Graham, and Matt Bomer, along with the late, great Linda Lavin and Pamela Adlon, and follows three gay "men of a certain age" who move in together into a house in Palm Springs following the death of their fourth friend.
Mid-Century is a classic sitcom throwback to all of your favorite half-hour comedies, but with a hilarious and raunchy gay twist.
The show comes at a perfect time, when queer people need to find joy and laughter and celebration of chosen family.
As Lane says in his interview, "Comedy is a great way to win people over. It puts them in a vulnerable position. And...it's a very successful way of delivering a message."
Mid-Century Modern is streaming on Hulu now.
