Dr. Evan Goldstein has been helping make bottoming healthier and more pain-free for years through his practice, Bespoke Surgical, and now his expertise is coming to a CVS store near you.

Goldstein, one of the country’s leading anal surgeons, not only offers everything from butt facials and anal Botox to anal fissure treatments and surgical reconstruction, but he’s also worked to perfect anal sex prep through his company Future Method.

Now his physician-designed bottoming prep tools will be available in 800 CVS stores nationwide, with three of Future Method’s signature offerings — a beginner anal dilator set, a single-use anal douche kit, and a reusable anal douche kit — hitting shelves today.

“I created Future Method to address the lack of trusted, physician-developed products and education in anal wellness, so seeing our products on shelves at CVS is a major milestone,” Goldstein tells Out. “It allows us to reach more consumers than ever before and move anal health further into the mainstream conversation.”

Instead of grabbing products off the shelves that weren’t specifically designed with bottoming and anal health in mind, these products were created by a doctor who understands gay sex and the challenges that come with bottoming.

With the three products, there's something for everyone who wants to bottom. Gone are the days of creating a makeshift douching kit with a water bottle; now you can head to CVS to grab everything you need to douche at home or on the go, and a dilation set to help prep your body for anal play.

“People deserve products that help them approach anal sex with greater comfort, confidence, and understanding,” Goldstein says. “Our beginner dilation set allows consumers to explore at their own pace, while our douching kits offer convenient cleansing options featuring a doctor-developed formula designed to align with the body's natural chemistry. Together with trusted education, these products help consumers make more informed — and safer — decisions about their bodies and sexual wellness.”

The fact that products designed for queer sex are now available at most people’s local pharmacy is not only revolutionary, but “helps remove some of those barriers and gives people greater confidence in caring for their sexual wellness,” he says.

Goldstein also says that CVS, which already provides the LGBTQ+ community with PrEP, DoxyPEP, and Valtrex, is “the first retailer to go full spectrum” by also offering his sexual wellness products. “From the pharmacist counter to the aisles, CVS now has people's backsides,” he jokes.

“This launch is one step in the right direction for normalizing both anal sex care and queer sexual health more broadly — but it's just one step,” Goldstein says. “There's still a long way to go before this space gets the visibility, research, and investment it deserves.”
