We’re almost halfway through Pride Month, and things are just heating up!

Whether Pride is about parades and protests or parties and hookups for you, you’re probably hoping to look and feel like a million bucks.

Preparing for Pride isn’t just about grabbing plenty of lube and PrEP — although those are both important too. For some, it means booking an appointment for cosmetic and sexual wellness procedures.

So this Pride, if you want to make sure bottoming is extra pleasurable, crave being dolphin-smooth before heading into a circuit party, or want to show off a bigger bulge, there are procedures that can help you get there.

Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner Chris Bustamante, who is also the owner and CEO of Lushful Aesthetics, tells Out that requests for a handful of his procedures skyrocket this time of year.

“I think sex and confidence are always top of mind for our patients, and the lead-up to Pride and summer tends to come with the expectation of having more opportunities to show off and have some fun,” Bustamante says. “That said, most of my patients are looking to increase their confidence — whether in the bedroom, on a nude beach, at the Pride event, or even just in their sweatpants at the gym!”

But which procedures and treatments are the most popular this time of year, and should you consider booking an appointment yourself? Keep reading to find out.

Penis filler

Penis filler, called GirthFill at Bustamante’s popular men’s clinic where the procedure is a flagship service, is a nonsurgical procedure where dermal fillers are injected to increase the girth of your penis. Hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers are most commonly used and are injected into the shaft.

And this procedure is only getting more popular every year. According to Bustamante, penis filler now accounts for 27 percent of Lushful Aesthetics’ annual revenue. In the last year alone, GirthFill has increased revenue by 74 percent, appointments have skyrocketed by 65 percent, and new patient bookings for the procedure have increased by 51 percent.

“GirthFill is popular ahead of Pride as most patients seek this treatment to improve confidence or enhance their overall aesthetic proportions,” he says. “Ahead of Pride Month activities, many patients want to feel more confident in their bodies, whether at the club or on the beach.”

Scrotum filler

While Scrotox — Botox injected into your scrotum for health and sexual pleasure reasons — has been around for awhile now, Bustamante says he’s seen scrotum filler take off recently. ScroFill is where hyaluronic acid filler is injected into the dermal layer of the scrotum to make it look larger, fuller, and heavier. It’s often coupled with GirthFill to give a more balanced appearance to everything you want to show off below the belt.

“ScroFill is one of Lushful Aesthetics’ fastest-growing and most popular treatments,” he says. “Ahead of Pride, ScroFill increases in popularity as this procedure physically enhances the size and shape of the scrotum, increasing bulge size for a time when many patients are looking to show off! Best of all, the downtime is so minimal when compared to other procedures like GirthFill.”

HoleTox

HoleTox (aka anal Botox) is a procedure in which neuromodulators like Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau, and Xeomin are injected into the anal sphincter muscles to allow them to relax, making bottoming easier and less painful. Bustamante says the procedure only takes three minutes, so many patients swing by Lushful Aesthetics to get it done before Pride.

“HoleTox has exploded amongst the LGBTQIA+ community, and those who experience tightness or discomfort with receptive anal sex [bottoming] find the procedure to make a major impact on their sex lives,” he says. “Patients who participate in bottoming often seek the procedure to increase their confidence and comfort during receptive anal sex.”

Laser hair removal

Laser hair removal is a cosmetic procedure where a focused beam of light, called a laser, is used to reduce unwanted hair. The light from the laser is absorbed by the pigment in the hair, which then damages the hair follicles, slowing future growth.

Bustamante says that although this procedure takes “time to achieve lasting results,” his patients still book appointments ahead of Pride because they want to feel more confident showing skin on the beach and in the bedroom. “Most popularly, patients often seek laser hair removal for the back & shoulders, butt, and pubic area to groom ahead of being shirtless or wearing less clothing during Pride/the summer,” he says.

Happy Pride Month!
