The first RuPaul's Drag Race star to ever compete on Big Brother is going through it, but her misery is our gain because the memes are memeing.
Jason De Puy (known as Salina EsTitties by RuPaul's Drag Race fans) has been at the center of drama since he stepped foot in the Big Brother house, but things turned from messy — and homophobic, let’s be real — to hilarious when a dramatic moment went viral.
To catch you up, Jason managed to alienate himself from most of the cast early on by playing a very aggressive game, and narrowly avoided elimination after beefing with MMA fighter Kamu Kirk, who made homophobic comments about drag queens. Jason also ended up in hot water after bragging about his strategy to some of the cast, including his ally Angela Murray, who ended up accusing him of "using his sexuality to play on my emotions."
This week, a heartfelt but ultimately hilarious moment was turned into a meme that has gone viral all over social media.
While playing hype man for himself before hitting the gym, Jason hit back at Kamu, who was appointed Head of Household this week, queuing the drag queen up to have his head back on the chopping block.
“I wanna send [Kamu] home so bad so all his MMA friends can say the drag queen sent the fighter home,” Jason said from his seat on the elliptical.
After roasting Kamu, Jason laid down on the couch by himself, threw his arm over his head, and said the now-infamous line: “I miss gay people.”
Was the moment melodramatic? Of course. But it’s also completely understandable given that he’s been surrounded by straight people since entering the Big Brother house, where he's the only out queer person on the cast.
Since the line was uttered, it has blown up online, where fans have taken it and run with it. Some people have rightly pointed out that it’s cruel for the Big Brother casting department to only cast one LGBTQ+ person per season because it leaves them so isolated, but most people were busy making hilarious jokes.
