The tension in the Big Brother house is reaching a boiling point.
Within the first few weeks of the hit reality show's 28th season, the drama has kicked into high gear as alliances have been broken, contestants have betrayed each other, and lies are flying all around the house.
Heading into the season's second eviction, Jason De Puy (known as Salina EsTitties by RuPaul's Drag Race fans) has found himself on the block. The reality star serves as the first ever drag queen to compete on Big Brother.
Although queer fans are thrilled to see De Puy representing the LGBTQ+ community on CBS, not everybody is happy to have the inclusion as part of the cast. In fact, one of the other competitors was caught on the Big Brother live feeds making anti-drag comments in the house.
Did Kamuela “Kamu” Kirk make homophobic comments against Salina EsTitties on Big Brother?
In a conversation with Head of Household Rick Devens, MMA fighter Kamuela “Kamu” Kirk said, "Bro, miss me with the drag stuff. Miss me. I’m still an MMA guy, and I have an image to uphold."
The comments went viral on social media and Big Brother alum, including Frankie Grande, started slamming Kirk's comments as 'homophobic' and 'gross.'
What has Frankie Grande said about Kamu Kirk's comments?
Grande later clarified that he doesn't blame Devens for having a conversation with Kirk for strategy purposes, but he still believes men looking down on other feminine 'is homophobic. Period.'
Grande wasn't the only other Big Brother alum to speak up on the Kirk's opinions. Jimmy Heagerty, an openly gay strategy consultant who competed on season 27 of the hit show, also called Kirk 'disgusting' and 'the opposite of masculinity.'
Some fans even called on other Big Brother stars to speak up against Kirk's comments, but only a couple have actually said anything so far. Check out some more of the backlash below. Big Brother airs weekdays on CBS.
