This groundbreaking eighth season will introduce its first openly transgender contestant, Ella, a 29-year-old clinic consultant hailing from Weston-Super-Mare. Besides Ella's quest for love, her casting also represents a remarkable moment for LGBTQ+ people in reality TV.
Ella, described by producers as a "blonde bombshell with a sense of humor and a heart of gold," is ready to embark on a life-altering journey. She's one of 16 brave souls who will take the plunge into matrimony with someone they've never met before.
