The cast of Adults

The ensemble comedy series made waves across social media with its first season — and fans waited with bated breath for a season 2 announcement.

Adults hive rise!

The hit comedy series from FX is coming back for season two. Earlier today, FX and Hulu announced that the Nick Kroll-executive produced series starring Malik Elassal, Out100 honoree Owen Thiele, Lucy Freyer, Jack Innanen, and Amita Rao, was just renewed for a second season.

The critically acclaimed series follows a group of 20-somethings as they navigate adulthood while living under one roof in Queens, New York. After the first season premiered, the program became a hit on social media, with people falling in love with the queer cliffhanger between Thiele and Innanen's characters, prompting a flood of fan cams and calls for season 2. Now, those fans can rest easy knowing a new set of episodes is on the way.

Kate Lambert, executive vice president of development at FX Entertainment, made the announcement earlier today and released a statement about the show's future, praising its creators, Ben Kronengold and Rebecca Shaw. "Ben and Rebecca are incredibly talented writers, and they have expertly and hilariously captured the experience of being a young adult in today’s world," the exec said. "The entire cast—Malik, Lucy, Jack, Amita, and Owen—is exceptional in bringing it to life in a way that has truly connected with its audience.”

The cast put together a season 2 announcement video addressing fans demands for another season, which flooded the show's social media posts over the past few months.
