It looks like we have a new favorite sport!

How many butt slaps does it take to get to the center of a CrossFit competitor?

That's the million dollar question that Gay Twitter is trying to find the answer to thanks to a recent viral video posted by French CrossFit athlete Jules Castor and his friend and coach Alex Pinsolle.

The two athletes both posted a (now deleted) video on their Instagram accounts celebrating Castor's performance at a recent CrossFit event where Pinsolle coached him.

The video, which is now making its rounds in the Gay Twittersphere, shows a proud Castor wearing nothing but shorts and arm braces, strutting up to Pinsolle on the sidelines to hug him after competing. Pinsolle hugs him and, like any coach or athlete letting another player know he did a good job, he pats him on the ass. (Multiple times!)

Pinsolle isn't happy with just one pat though, he keeps going back for more!

"Two proud buddies to have made it here," Instagram translates the caption of the post made by the duo on May 27. "We told ourselves and we did it, surprising quite a few people, in the region where the level is closest to that of the Games."

The CrossFit Games are that sport's equivalent of the Olympics, and it's truly an impressive feat to say you've competed in them, however, it's how they celebrated that has Gay Twitter feeling cheeky.

"How many slaps did y'all count?" Twitter user @peepgawd1 asked in a post sharing the video. (We counted ten, by the way.)

The pair were celebrating Castor's participation in the 2024 CrossFit Games Europe, where he finished 29th out of 40 competitors all vying for a spot in the 2024 CrossFit Games in Fort Worth, Texas this August. Only the top ten competitors advanced.

This was Castor's best season competing in CrossFit, making it to the semifinals for the first time and ranking 68th in the world at the individual quarterfinal. He was the third highest scoring French athlete in the Semifinals.

Pinsolle has also been to three CrossFit Semifinals as a competitor in the years 2021-2023. His highest ranking year was 2021 when he came in 19th.

In another post, Castor thanked the public and the organizers of the event, as well as his "coach and friend" Pinsolle. He also said that he's "hungrier than ever" and promised that we will see him next year.

Hopefully he'll continue to find success with Pinsolle coaching him (and we'll get even more videos like this)! For more on Alex and Jules, follow them on Instagram, @alex_pinpin and @jules.castor!
