Ashley Park, Sherry Cola, Stephanie Hsu, and Sabrina Wu are getting wild in the new red band trailer for their upcoming friend trip comedy Joy Ride!
Ever since the first trailer, we’ve been excited for this hilarious upcoming comedy about a group of friends who go on a trip to Asia together, but now that we’ve gotten to see more of the humor of the movie, we are champing at the bit to see it!
“The hilarious and unapologetically explicit story of identity and self-discovery centers on four unlikely friends who embark on a once-in-a-lifetime international adventure,” the movie’s description reads. “When Audrey’s (Ashley Park) business trip to Asia goes sideways, she enlists the aid of Lolo (Sherry Cola), her irreverent, childhood best friend who also happens to be a hot mess; Kat (Stephanie Hsu), her college friend turned Chinese soap star; and Deadeye (Sabrina Wu), Lolo’s eccentric cousin. Their no-holds-barred, epic experience becomes a journey of bonding, friendship, belonging, and wild debauchery that reveals the universal truth of what it means to know and love who you are.”
When they say “unapologetically explicit,” they mean it!
The preview is full of no-holds-barred moments showing the friends shoving condoms full of drugs up their butts, and then having to get them out, taking shots, talking about sex, making sex noises, and talking about masturbating to Splinter from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Fans of movies like Bridesmaids, Girl’s Trip, and The Hangover are sure to love Joy Ride, and we know that we’re excited for it!
Joy Ride also stars Ronny Chieng, Desmond Chiam, Alexander Hodge, and Chris Pang. It releases in theaters on July 7.Latest Stories
