Olympic freestyle skier Gus Kenworthy wants to star as the protagonist of a rom-com.

Best known for winning a silver medal at the 2014 Winter Olympics, Kenworthy has been slowly building up credits for a career as an actor and TV personality. Though he still hasn’t landed a breakout role in the industry, Kenworthy has been making significant strides in this new career path.

During an interview with People, Kenworthy shared more details about his dreams and future prospects in Hollywood:

“Honestly, it would be something similar to Bros which we just saw, but like my dream as a kid was to be the lead in a rom-com. I loved romantic comedies. To this day, they’re still like my favorite movies. I just think it’s such a great formula and I would love to get to plug into that and play the lead of a rom-com, but also get to play gay would be a dream.”

In the past, Kenworthy has made cameos on The Real O’Neals, Sharknado 5: Global Swarming, and Will & Grace. He also landed a main role on American Horror Story: 1984 and appeared in the Netflix docuseries Coming Out Colton. In 2023, Kenworthy competed in the reality series Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.

It is unfortunate that Bros underperformed at the box office, but that won’t stop Kenworthy from dreaming big!
