Strap in, the first trailer for the new kinky, gay romance film Pillion is here!

Written and directed by Harry Lighton, Pillion is based on Adam Mars-Jones' 2020 novel, Box Hill, and the tagline for it reads: "A timid man is swept off his feet when an enigmatic, impossibly handsome biker takes him on as his submissive." The film stars Harry Melling (The Queen's Gambit) as Colin, the timid man, and Alexander Skarsgård (The Northman) as Ray, the impossibly handsome biker. And it takes its name from a word for the passenger seat on the back of a motorcycle.

"Ray uproots Colin from his dreary suburban life, introducing him to a community of kinky, queer bikers and taking all sorts of virginities along the way," Variety wrote of the film's plot when the project was announced. "But as Colin steps deeper into Ray’s world of rules and mysteries, he begins to question whether the life of a 24/7 submissive is for him. Has he found his calling, or simply swapped one form of suffocation for another?"

The trailer for Pillion opens with a shot of Colin, a shy and unassuming member of a barbershop quartet singing Christmas songs in a bar. He can't stop himself from stealing glances at the kinky leather crowd, and eventually, one of them approaches him.

"How did you get a man like that?" a woman asks Colin, as Peggy March's classic "I Will Follow Him" plays.

"I have an aptitude for devotion," Colin smiles.

The rest of the trailer showcases an evolving dynamic between the two men — as Ray instructs Colin on what to do, sends him on errands, and literally wrestles with him.

The movie premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in May, where it won Best Screenplay and was nominated for the Caméra d'Or and Queer Palm. It currently has a 100% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes from 27 reviews.

Pillion releases on November 28 in the U.K. and in early 2026 in the U.S.
