Can you ask for a better cast than this?
Saturday Night Live star Bowen Yang, three-time Tony winner Nathan Lane, superstar rapper Megan Thee Stallion, and iconic comedian Megan Mullally are joining the cast of A24's upcoming R-rated musical comedy F*cking Identical Twins.
The movie, based on a two-man Upright Citizens Brigade show, comes from comedians Aaron Jackson and Josh Sharp. The two wrote the script and will star as the titular identical twins. It's not known who the new cast members will play at this time.
Inspired by The Parent Trap, and featuring original songs by Jackson, Sharp, and composer Karl Saint Lucy, F*cking Identical Twins follows two business adversaries who realize they're identical twin brothers and decide to switch places in order to reunite their divorced parents.
The film is being directed by Larry Charles, who wrote on Seinfeld and directed Borat. It's currently in production.
Since he joined Saturday Night Live, Yang has constantly been one of the funniest cast members, regularly breaking out with his hilarious sketches. In 2021, he became the first SNL featured player (one of the newer cast members who isn't a full time cast member yet) to be nominated for an Emmy for the show.
Nathan Lane is currently starring in Hulu's Only Murders in the Building alongside Martin Short, Steve Martin, and Selena Gomez. He recently confirmed his character, Teddy Dimas, will be returning for the upcoming second season of the comedy.
Megan Mullally is perhaps best known for playing Karen on Will & Grace, a role that earned her eight Emmy nominations and two wins.
Megan Thee Stallion, who won three Grammy Awards in 2021, is also one of the judges on HBO Max's Ballroom reality series Legendary.
