iRi NYC Spring '18
Rising designer Janet Yeung launched iRi this spring with the goal of creating playful, unisex footwear that reflects her own colorful personality. Using unconventional materials like neoprene, nylon and patent leather, her breakout New York-based, Italian-made brand is built on values introduced by her South Korean grandmother: "Positivity, optimism and living life with joy."
And it shows--now in iRi's second season, Yeung designed spring '18 by reflecting on her own childhood drawings and paintings. The range is aptly titled, "Playing on Paper," and offers silhouettes that look like they were scribbled with a youthful free hand--neoprene sneakers with a graphic, jagged base and bold boots with squiggle heels.
