Pre-spring '18 is all about intimately exploring monogamy.
For Opening Ceremony's newest collection, the brand took innovation to the next level. Instead of hosting a traditional runway show, OC debuted its pre-spring '18 collection through Changers, an intimate live performance written and directed by Spike Jonze, choreographed by Ryan Heffington, and starring Lakeith Stanfield (Get Out) and Mia Wasikowska (Alice Through the Looking Glass).
Changers explores the evolution of relationships with a narrative told not through words, but through movement and dance. The story watches as the romance between a man (Stanfield) and a woman (Wasikowska) develops and grows over time as they navigate the intricacies of monogamy.

The production premiered September 10th during NYFW at East Village's La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club, then opened to the public for a four-night ticketed run. Upon entering the theater, guests walked through a model apartment inspired by the sets in Changers, which surrounded them in an immersive sound experience curated by Jonze and music director Sam Spiegel.
To complement the live performance, OC co-founders Humberto Leon and Carol Lim brought together their favorite couples to model the new collection in a portfolio called "Pairs," photographed by Brigitte Lacombe. Check out some queer selects, below.
