'Origins' by Liza Keane
Liza Keane is a Central Saint Martins student by day and a drag queen by night, using her colorful club experiences to inform the work she creates at school. In her second year at the prestigious fashion college, Keane created a full couture collection, called Origins, which she says reflects on "discovering my roots as a designer through drag and nightlife."
With ruff collars, exaggerated hips and bulbous sleeves, the range features updated Elizabethan silhouettes and intricate embroidery techniques--the word, "Iconic," is aptly stitched on the crotch of bloomers worn by fellow nightlife star Harry Charlesworth in the official Origins lookbook; Sussi and the designer herself make cameos, as well, posing wildly against a reflective metallic backdrop.
