Gallery: Sies Marjan's First Menswear Collection is a Fuzzy, Pastel Dream
There's something soothing about designer Sies Marjan's pastel fur coats. They're big, dyed in pastel pinks and turquoises, and, draped on the shoulders of two waif-like models, they just look like a daydream.
As part of the designer's first foray into menswear, everything from the fur coats and velvet pajamas to the plush sweaters and tailored trousers look like the perfect pastel-hued shell to encase your feelings in. The 14-piece collection, inspired by Creative Director Sander Lak's own personal closet, come together for a look book that blurs the lines of femininity--thanks in part to casting director and found of The Establishment Anita Bitton's watchful eye.
The two models she picked, Roberto Rossellini and Niko Traubman, look as soft as the clothes they're enswathed in. In picking the models, she connected with the "peaceful confidence" of both Rossellini and Bitton--a feeling that runs through everything the designer touches.
