Going MIA

For undercover cops, Miami Vice's Crockett and Tubbs sure knew how to stand out in a crowd. Speeding by in their Ferrari, flaunting the latest designer suits, the pair helped establish the markers of 1980s cool: rolled-up sleeves, swanky timepieces, and leather moccasins (worn sans socks, of course). Thirty years on, their relaxed approach to tailoring is coming back strong. Soft pastel tones, lightweight linen fabrics, and wide-legged pants -- as seen in recent men's collections from Hermes, Ermenegildo Zegna, and Gucci -- are all the rage all over again. So go ahead and add a touch of elegant nonchalance to your summer wardrobe. It'd be a crime not to.
