You'd think Adam Lambert would be sticking to the studio and recording his next album after the great success he's had with his current one, Trespassing, this summer. But according to E! News, Lambert may be eyeing a role on the show that made him a star.
"They have been talking about Adam for over a month," a source exclusively told E! News. "He personifies the show, and will be a popular choice right from the start. He knows what it's like to be on the receiving end of the judges' comments, he has a human touch, and they know they can't go wrong if they bring him on. He would be able to bring a unique perspective to the show. People love him."
This could mean a totally new American Idol for the fall. Most of the criticism is that the current trio hasn't been as harsh as judges past, but could Adam take the criticism to a new level? But even more importantly, if he does decide to join Idol in some capacity, will he have time to make more music? Or--GASP--will he perform live on the show at some point?
