Houston to be memorialized like Michael Jackson, but won't be 'typical tribute'
The date hasn't been set yet, but it is official: Glee will air a special Whitney Houston tribute episode.
E! Online is reporting that the legendary singer, who we lost tragically in February, will be memorialized in an episode of the Fox series featuring eight of her legendary songs.
There has already been one episode featuring Whitney Houston material, as performed by the show's Amber Riley, but it was planned prior to the stars death. The forthcoming episode will be a full-on night of Whitney, but apparently not in the most expected way.
E!'s sources are reporting that the episode will "not be typical tribute" and will follow the long reported plot of the high school's seniors as they move on from New Direction.
We've seen the show do fitting and fun tributes before and we're positive this one can be both those things and more in memory of the late, great Whitney Houston.
