The band Hunx and His Punx played this past Saturday at Mercury Lounge in New York City. As we've told you in the past, Seth Bogart likes to play the provocateur. As Jason Dean writes at Mecury's website: "Hunx and his Punx are a flamboyant punk stab at reinventing New York Dolls, including the antifashion nightmare and nontraditional gender roles of the protopunk band. Seth Bogart, wearing giant sunglasses, had HUNX written in lipstick across his bare chest, visible under his thin pleather jacket and spandex pants. The rest of the band wore everything from turbans to glitter bow ties with leotards, like punk-rock Chippendales dancers. It's not hard to see this as an homage to a twisted adult John Waters camp view on the naive '50s and some kind of performance art."

But as one blogger recounts from the evening's wild revelry, he also doesn't mind taking out his junk and pissing on the crowd. According to Bowery Boogie: "But the absolute zaniest moment during the show occurred a few tracks deep, during "Mr. Lemonade." Hunx, who touched himself throughout, pulled out his brick and gave the briefest of golden showers to the photographers up front ("It's just a little bit, c'mon"). It was pretty damn hilarious, but nearly caused some mayhem. By the end of the night, though, pretty much everyone in attendance was bopping to the beats."

If you're wondering what Bogart was up to, he's known to get a little wild and crazy (and naked) whenever he feels like it. For example, he is naked and having the sex in the very NSFW video for the Girls' song, "Lust for Life" here.
