It's bad enough to say your against gay marriage, but to pledge against--well, you're just asking for trouble. Yet, that's exactly what Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney did earlier today when he signed the National Organization for Marriage's pledge to amend the definition of marriage as "the union of one man and one woman."
Thanks to the pledge, Romney now promises two-for-one deal in bull****by creating a presidential comission based on "religous liberty." This commission would look into any threats or harassment directed politicians who are openly against gay marriage. Were sure the Republicans know all about being judged persecuted.
This wouldn't be such a huge surprise, except, as CBSNEWS reports, Romeny was outspokenly in favor of gay rights when he was running for the Senate in 1994. According to CBS, he also said DADT was ""the first in a number of steps that will ultimately lead to gays' and lesbians' being able to serve openly and honestly in our nation's military."
Guess he had his fingers crossed.
