'The Amazing Spider-Man' Heats Up

This should get your Spider-Senses tingling. With a year to go until the premiere of Sony's The Amazing Spider-Man, Entertainment Weekly was oh-so-kind enough to place a spandex-covered Andrew Garfield on the cover of their most recent issue. Maybe the title should be changed to The Smoldering Spider-Man?

Swinging into theaters only five years after the last Spidey franchise, director Mark Webb promised a "more gritty," "more contemporary," and "more character driven" version of the Marvel Comics super hero. Hey, if "gritty" and "contemporary" translates into more brooding shots of Andrew Garfield, we're game. Either way, we can all agree that it's time for some Spider-Man chatter that doesn't include the words "Broadway," "Bono," or "sucks."
