David Beckham to Design Clothing, Release Another Fragrance and Continues to Look Hot

Ever since former-Spice Girl Victoria Beckham launched her sleek womenswear line in 2009 -- to critical acclaim -- the public has hounded her with questions of whether she and husband David would ever collaborate on a collection together for men. It's of little surprise, seeing as the celebrated soccer player is known as much for his on-field achievements and athletic gifts as he is for his keen sense of style. While he may play by the rules when it comes to sports, Beckham is known for being a risk-taker in the realm of dress.

Today, Beckham announced that he will be joining his wife in the world of fashion, and is currently designing a line of bodywear, as well as the releasing a fragrance -- his third -- 'Homme by David Beckham', which will hit stores in September. The athlete -- who is the fifth highest paid in the world, according to Forbes -- is taking his extensive knowledge of activewear and joining it with his trendy, masculine aesthetic to help set the foundation for the line. As told to WWD, Beckham, now 36, is looking to other outlets to focus on once he decides to leave the sports world. "With my team we have spent time working on the fit, the fabric and the style to ensure the product looks and feels the very best and I am hugely proud of the end result. I can't wait to show people the collection -- although I'm not sure my mum will be too happy seeing a billboard image of me in underwear again," he quipped. We, on the other hand, can't wait.
