Ah, the life of a club promoter. Famous friends, beautiful men, as much booze as you can chug on any given night of the week. And yet -- that's only part of the story. As two of New York City's biggest promoters, and arguably the city's premier gay promoters, Tony Fornabaio (above left) and Brandon Voss work tirelessly to ensure that the city's queer community has something exciting to look forward to every single week.
After bringing the dance party back to NYC, the duo is now getting ready to unveil a brand new Latin room downstairs at Club 57 at the Providence nightclub in Midtown Manhattan on Saturday, February 26. La Tromba Tropical allows club-goers to experience the Copacabana downstairs in the club's sprawling basement and will feature DJ Oficial spinning Hip Hop, R&B, Top 40, Salsa and World Music as well as professional salsa dancers and live timbales to keep the crowd moving. Already on the books for La Tromba Tropical in the future is a Kat DeLuna performance, the CD release party for Puerto Rican drag sensation Jessica Wild and a guest DJ spot by Nina Flowers from RuPaul's Drag Race.
Brandon and Tony recently dropped by the Out studio to chat about the misconceptions many people have about the glamorous life of a club promoter, partying with Lil' Kim and Ke$ha, and more:
