Ann Demeulemeester Steals from Martin Margiela

We've always been fans of both Ann Demeulemeester and Martin Margiela's men's wear collections. Demeulemeester's work is at times romantic, frail, sentimental, poetic and the like -- very pirate meets rock star. Margiela's, on the other hand, tends to have a cerebral complexity and quirky subtlety to it that makes it an industry favorite. So it's interesting to hear that Ann is allegedly nabbing Martin's men's wear designer Sebastien Meunier to help her out with her boys' looks. Hm. We'll be interested to see if Demeulemeester is looking to revamp her men's wear vibe or if she tapped the designer to help strengthen her existing vision. Either way, it a thought-provoking turn.
