As the world now knows, Naomi Campbell recieved three blood diamonds from the Liberian warlord and president Charles Taylor, who has been standing trial for war crimes and crimes against humanity. It's debatable whether she understood what she was doing--called as a witness for the prosecution she claimed that she'd never even heard of Liberia when she met Taylor at a dinner with Nelson Mandela in 1997--but all the same: would you really want Campbell to represent your brand during New York's prestigious Fashon's Night Out? Apparently yes, if you are Dolce & Gabanna, who invite you to "celebrate with Naomi Campbell the 25th year of her career" next Friday, 10 September. Er, thanks, but we'll be skipping.
