Stop the presses! The New York Post is reporting that our beloved Mayor Bloomberg (pictured right, with Marc Jacobs looking on in shame) only has two--yes two--pairs of work shoes, and even worse than that, they are 10 years old. The horror.
The Mayor's spokesperson Stu Loeser said that,"the mayor owns only two pairs of work shoes. One day he'll wear one, the next the other -- and when they get worn down, he has them resoled."
Hilarity and self-seriousness ensues when The Post goes on to get opinions from footwear experts including 'a longtime Cole Haan salesman' and an 80 year old cobbler from midtown. Really? The Post felt it necessary to investigate multiple sources on the matter. Talk about a slow news day.
