Our favorite gay not-quite-human, Captain Jack, is coming back to the States! Of course, fans of Torchwood on BBC America will know that the character is American, but the show is set in Wales. John Barrowman, who we adore anyway, is of course Scottish (he drops into a lovely Scots accent when talking to a fellow expat) but grew up in the U.S., mostly.
But enough of that: the great news is an announcement that BBC Wales, BBC Worldwide, and Starz Entertainment are making a 10-part series, to be distributed worldwide. Hurrah!
Oh, and in case you missed it, here's a Jack moment from the past series. It's one of the most moving scenes on recent TV, with Jack back in time and kissing a man he loves, but who he knows is doomed. The dance scene would bring a tear to a glass eye.
