On a recent trip to London I stayed at the Dean St. Townhouse and it was fantastic! The rooms were totally granny chic with cut glass perfume bottles beside the vanity mirror and blue hyacinths on the window ledge. The bathroom is incredibly luxurious with a free standing bath and a huge walk-in shower with Cowshed products. The rooms include all of the modern comforts we've come to expect including an ipod dock and a DVD player and it's surprisingly quiet for being in the heart of Soho.
Also The Dean St. Townhouse restaurant, which is part of the group and right next door, happens to be one of London's most happening eateries with delicious classic English food (the roast chicken was great!), red leather booths and Helmut Newton prints on the wall. Book well in advance, though, as it is not easy to get a table. All this and it's only a 30 second walk to Old Compton St. and the heart of all the gay bars and cafes.
