We've said it before, and we'll say it again: James Franco is open-minded. Why else would the Golden Globe-winning alum of highish-brow fare like Milk, Freaks and Geeks, and the forthcoming Howl -- who moonlights as a grad student with an academic penchant for queer cinema and gay poetry -- sign on to a recurring role on a daytime soap opera? Certainly not for the job security. Maybe, perhaps, for the sheer thrill of experimentation? His new gig on General Hospital, as a mob thug's "worst nightmare," begins November 20th and will last a couple of months. And no, we can't even wait.
