Burberry is to inventing trench coats as Gloverall is to conceiving duffel coats, but outside the UK Gloverall garners as much of a blank stare as the next non-fashion industry employed fashionista. Banking on Fall '09, the duffel coat brand will break out of its shell boasting a break out collaboration with Beauty & Youth to supply its followers eying the iconic brand from across the Atlantic. As Burberry had done with its trench coats -- prior to Christopher Bailey's novel Spring 2010 trench coat collection -- Gloverall retains its signature wool duffel coat silhouette coupled with options in a classic tan, black or plaid overtone, although with its inevitable popularity the classic design may undergo an evolution.
