Pre-recession, a plethora of high-end skin care lines with manly appeal clogged the cosmetics counters of luxury department stores like so many stubborn blackheads. Many have since vanished (does anyone really need $300 serum?), but a few have survived for good reason. Leaf & Rusher, a medical skin care brand concocted by a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon and a collagen-and-botox specialist, has an advanced treatment program that costs as much as a pair of Tod's driving loafers. But if you're more in line with a la carte these days, the Rapid Resurface micro-dermabrasion cleanser ($50, available at leafandrusher.com) is a worthy upgrade to Kiehl's or Anthony Logistics. Fine rice powder and "calcified" algae make for an odd combo, but it's a superlative exfoliation that makes competing brands feel like gravel scratching up your precious mug.
