For Prada's Spring/Summer 2008 collection, the runway resembled an Alice in Wonderland-style woodland fairyland, with runway models floating along like nymphs adorned in vivid prints. In keeping with that down-the-rabbit-hole spirit and Miuccia Prada's love for bringing art and fashion together, she commissioned a short animated film by artist James Jean. The short features the ethereal music of spooky sister-songstresses Cocorosie--and, of course, some of Prada's bold spring/summer clothes and accessories. It's a dreamlike sequence that is reminiscent of being trapped in the imagination of the child from Pan's Labyrinth--that is, if the child grew up in Italy with a silver spoon in her mouth and designer heels on her feet.
