News broke earlier today that Red, White & Royal Blue star Nicholas Galitzine is getting ready to sport a bob as the iconic '80s Mattel hero He-Man in a new, upcoming live-action Masters of the Universe movie.
While we love Nick, and we're excited AF for the movie, we can't help but wonder why the brown-haired, skinny, and not-exactly-imposing actor was cast.
In fact, we've got some ideas of some queer actors who we think would've been much better suited to play the blond bombshell beefcake. Here are our top five picks!
Jeremy Pope
The Inspection and Hollywood star Jeremy Pope is without a doubt one of the most talented and hottest actors in Hollywood, and his recent Pride-themed campaign for Calvin Klein proves that he's got the body-ody-ody to play someone like He-Man.
Zane Phillips
At 6'2" with beautiful blond hair and muscles for days, we already have been dream casting Phillips as a live-action version of Hercules, and now, we'd love to see this hunk as He-Man!
Joel Kim Booster
Booster isn't typically known for his action roles, but with the muscles he has we know he'd absolutely kill it as He-Man! Let's see him in that He-Man Speedo and harness!
Kit Connor
Now, when we talk about a typical '80s He-Man, Kit Connor is exactly who we picture. The Heartstopper star plays a teen rugby player in that show, and he certainly has the physique to play a superhero.
Rafael L. Silva
Silva certainly knows what it takes to play a hero, as he plays a first responder on the hit show 9-1-1: Lone Star. He also has the looks to play the muscle-bound warrior.
