Peruvian actor and former pro footballer Nicola Porcella has publicly come out!
The actor, television host, and reality star (who has appeared in shows like Todo Por Amor and Ven, Baila, Quinceañera) opened up about his sexuality in a recent episode of the Mexican reality show La Casa de los Famosos México, which is similar to Celebrity Big Brother.
Porcella, who has over 2.5 million followers on Instagram, was having a conversation with trans influencer Wendy Guevara and bisexual singer Apio Quijano, who were encouraging him and offered to hold hands. As the three held hands, Guevara and Quijano said their names and that they accept their identities as a trans woman and bisexual man, and that’s when Porcella got the courage to speak up himself.
“Hi, I’m Nicola and I accept that I am pansexual,” he said in Spanish to the delight of his housemates!
“What a beautiful moment of diversity and acceptance,” the Instagram account for La Casa de los Famosos México said.
After he came out, he thanked his fans for their support, both in his coming out and his competing on the show.
“I see and feel you all,” he wrote. “Thanks for all the support and let’s keep going until the end!”
La Casa de los Famosos México is currently still ongoing.
