Let’s be honest, the way most men dress for the red carpet is a total snooze fest. It’s boring black suit after boring black suit until you want to cry from the sheer boredom.
Where women have to go through hours of glam and come correct with a fabulous outfit that is both stylish and sexy, men get away with phoning it in.
Whether it’s the Oscars, the Emmys, or the Golden Globes, most famous men choose to wear a black suit or standard tux. Luckily, the Met Gala often inspires these same men to think outside the box and wear something a little more daring and exciting.
From Billy Porter wearing gold wings and a headpiece to Jared Leto carrying around a prosthetic replica of his own head or Marc Jacobs sporting a see-through lace dress, there have been some male celebs willing to take a fashion risk.
Scroll through to check out the male celebrities who turned heads on the red carpet at the 2026 Met Gala.
