“I have a problem with the culture of everyone needing to know everybody’s business,” the White Lotus actor said.

In the wise words of Rihanna, “It ain’t nobody’s business.”

For weeks now, rumors have been going around about Lukas Gage and Chris Appleton dating. However, it appears that the actor isn’t thrilled about this ongoing speculation.

During an interview with The New York Times, Gage discussed his latest stint on Netflix’s You, his character arcs on Euphoria and Love, Victor, and his breakout appearance in the first season of The White Lotus. In between talking about these projects, Gage was asked about the current rumors that he’s dating celebrity hairstylist Appleton. Gage responded:

“If they want to think that, they can. I’m a pretty open book about most things in my life, but I have a problem with the culture of everyone needing to know everybody’s business and nothing can be sacred. It’s a weird line that I’m still trying to figure out.”

Gage and Appleton have yet to directly confirm or deny their alleged relationship. Instead, fans have gotten pictures of them together on social media and a red-carpet debut of the pair while attending a Vanity Fair party in Los Angeles.

When a fan criticized Hollywood for casting a supposed straight actor to play LGBTQ+ characters, Gage responded to the fan saying: “You don’t know my alphabet.” Alas, that’s the closest Gage has come to addressing his sexuality in any manner.

We’ll always be rooting for Gage’s personal life and career – regardless of how he identifies and who he happens to be dating!
