Lady Gaga may be playing a supervillain, but she’s a hero in real life.
While filming a scene alongside Joker: Folie à Deux co-star Joaquin Phoenix on the iconic Bronx stairway from the first movie, Gaga and Phoenix took time to help a crew member who had tripped and fallen over the railing.

When she helped the crew member, Gaga was wearing a new look for her Harley Quinn that we hadn’t seen before. This new look includes red lipstick, black lines through her eyes, and a bleached bob. She’s also wearing the harlequin pattern on a black and white shirt, and on her tights.

In a behind-the-scenes video captured by a fan, Gaga’s Quinn can be seen dancing in makeup and a costume on the iconic set of stairs that Joker danced on in the first film. This seems to be fully after her transformation into Harley Quinn.

Another clip shows her walking up the stairs and doing a little dance, but it seems to be from earlier in the movie. Here, Gaga has longer hair and more natural makeup, and isn’t dressed like a clown.

The scene of Joker dancing on the stairs to Gary Glitter’s "Rock’n’Roll Pt. 2" became one of the most iconic scenes from the first Joker film in 2019, with fans flocking to the location to recreate it.
Gaga is joining Phoenix in the sequel Joker: Folie à Deux, playing the role of Harley Quinn. The movie will also be a musical.
This isn’t Gaga’s first time helping someone who had fallen while she was working. Just a month ago at the 95th Academy Awards, Gaga was walking the champagne carpet when she noticed a photographer fall near her. She rushed over and helped him get back up.
