Fans are shaking in their boots after this moment at the red carpet premiere of Saltburn.

Do it like Madonna and Britney Spears at the VMAs, you cowards!

Barry Keoghan (The Banshees of Inisherin) and Jacob Elordi (Euphoria) play the leading characters in Saltburn, the latest movie by writer-director Emerald Fennell about wealth and obsession. In the film, Keoghan plays Oliver Quick, a character who quickly becomes infatuated with his college mate named Felix Catton, played by Elordi.

On Tuesday, November 14, MGM threw a grand premiere party for Saltburn in Los Angeles. Given that the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) strike of 2023 is now over, many members of the cast of Saltburn attended the premiere. Fortunately, Keoghan and Elordi were not only present, but also ready to make a few headlines to promote the film.

At one point on the red carpet, Keoghan stares at Elordi’s profile. 6’5” actor Elordi then turns to face Keoghan and leans down to seemingly kiss his costar. Keoghan appears to go for it, too, but both actors stop before actually kissing.

We feel baited, but we’re not even complaining about this one.

After months of speculation that Saltburn was a complicated love story between the characters played by Keoghan and Elordi, first reactions suggest that this is more of a story about all the characters wanting to sleep with one another. While the movie still feels like a queer thriller about obsession and lust, it seems to be more of a free-for-all than about two specific characters.

The cast of Saltburn also features Rosamund Pike as Elsbeth, Richard E. Grant as Sir James Catton, Alison Oliver as Venetia Catton, Archie Madekwe as Farleigh Start, Carey Mulligan as Pamela, and Paul Rhys as Duncan, to name a few.

We can’t wait for this movie to be out in theaters!

Saltburn premieres November 24 in theaters.
