The relationship between 83-year-old billionaire David Geffen and his much younger ex-husband has a new chapter with a potentially happy ending after a highly publicized divorce and an explosive lawsuit.
In a surprising turn of events for those following their messy relationship, Geffen and former adult entertainer turned go-go dancer Donovan Michaels — whose real name is David Armstrong — have reportedly reconciled after divorcing just seven months ago.
The 33-year-old former exotic dancer was seen with Geffen on his 453-foot superyacht in October, where the pair looked “very much back together,” an unnamed source told Page Six.
This is the second unexpected reunion for Geffen and Armstrong, who were also spotted sailing in the Mediterranean in June after their divorce was finalized in April.
The couple was married for less than two years before the chaotic relationship ended with Armstrong filing a bombshell lawsuit accusing Geffen of sexual exploitation.
According to court documents, the pair met in 2016 when Geffen paid Armstrong $10,000 for sex before they developed a relationship. Armstrong also accused Geffen of grooming him, controlling him, and pressuring him to use drugs at parties aboard the superyacht.
The couple didn’t sign a prenup prior to marriage and Armstrong asked the court for spousal support from Geffen, who cofounded DreamWorks and two major record labels, and has a net worth of $9.7 billion, according to Forbes.
The lawsuit also alleges that Michaels struggled to pay for housing and everyday expenses after Geffen cut off his financial support. Geffen accused Armstrong of spending a small fortune on male escorts and countersued, alleging Armstrong ran up hundreds of thousands of dollars on Geffen’s accounts for clothing and cosmetic procedures.
Armstrong abruptly dropped his civil lawsuit in October 2025, and the pair reached a confidential settlement the following month. The exact amount hasn’t been reported, but it has been reported that Geffen supposedly paid Armstrong somewhere between $15 million and $30 million.
