Congratulations are in order for queer comedian/actor Cameron Esposito and their wife, Katy Nishimoto, as they welcomed their first baby.

Esposito announced on Instagram that they gave birth to Yumi Young Esposito Nishimoto on November 27. "WE ARE OVER THE MOON," they captioned the post.

Esposito, who starred in the shows A Million Little Things and Take My Wife, hosted the podcast Queery for seven years. They've also released several comedy specials, including Four Pills, which came out in April 2025. In that special, Esposito opened up about being diagnosed with bipolar disorder at the age of 40.

Friends flocked to the announcement to congratulate the couple.

"Omg Yumi congrats," wrote The L Word: Generation Q actor Leo Sheng.

"Congrats," added comedian Catherine McCafferty.

"Yay!! Congrats!!" Top Chef winner Melissa King wrote.

"Congratulations, A whole standup special ONE WEEK before giving birth? Next level legend behavior MashaAllah," wrote author and podcaster Balir Imani.

The couple got married in 2021, with Esposito announcing the nuptials on social media. "A few weeks ago, Katy & i got married," Esposito wrote at the time. "We were alone on the day (w/ friends & fam on zoom) so we took photos beforehand."

Esposito had been chronicling their pregnancy on social media, and even did a stand-up comedy performance about their pregnancy on November 23, when they were nine months pregnant.
