One of our favorite lesbian rappers has tied the knot!
Former Odd Future member Syd has announced that she has married her long-term girlfriend Ariana Simone!
Syd announced the great news from the stage to kick off Pride Month.
Instagram user Elspeth Macmillan took a photo at Syd's recent show in Boston and captioned it with "BTW she announced she got married. SHE WIFED IT! Happy Pride, y'all."

The intrepid journalists at Autostraddle chatted with Macmillan to get more of the details.
"She announced she was married earlier in the show and the crowd went nuts," she told Autostraddle. "Then during the 'Right Track' song, she brought Simone on to film the audience, but also played up the 'Wife That' part of the lyrics. Syd fans know who Simone is - she's been in several of Syd's music videos and [they] have been openly dating for a couple years now."
In the song "Right Track," Syd sings the lyrics "Feel like we're on the right track/ Keep it up, you keep me comin' right back, yeah/ I might be tryna wife that, yeah-yeah." Now, she's wifed Simone.
Apart from starring in several Syd music videos, like the one for "Fast Car" last year, Simone, also known as Ariana Simone Clay, works as a model, working with Ford Models and MGM Models.
If you want to get even more Syd, she'll be performing this weekend at LA Pride in the Park at the LA State HIstoric Park on Saturday, June 11. Other performers include headliner Christina Aguilera, Anitta, Rebecca Black, Michaela Jae Rodriguez, Eureka O'Hara, Bob the Drag Queen, Chika, Zolita, and more.
Congratulations to Syd and Simone! We love to see Black Queer Love Thriving!
