Latin Pop Daddy Ricky Martin Dyed His Beard — Our Knees are Weak

Ricky Martin on a red carpet.

Living da vida loca, indeed.

Our Latin pop king Ricky Martin has a new look for us.

Last year was rough for us all. With the pandemic, politics, and just general pessimism, it seemed like nothing was everything was going wrong. But we've made it through and for one Ricky Martin, 2021 means the perfect time for a new, bleached look.

"When bored, bleach." Martin wrote in a new Instagram post. The photo features the star as we've come to know him, now with a perfectly manicured blonde beard. Quite the look.

This isn't his first new color of quarantine. Just under a year ago, as we were all beginning to shelter in place, he went red. The color, Red Passion, was chosen by one of his sons. While that's long washed out, now we have this.

Martin has been spending the last few days on the beach, likely in his native Puerto Rico, with his family according to their social media. He and his husband, Jwan Yosef, have posted photos with their children like Renn, who is the youngest, as well as more swim-appropriate fare.

Martin had a big year in 2020. Though his original plans of touring were thwarted by the pandemic, he was able to release the first part of his album in an ep titled Pausa. He picked up a Latin Grammy for that project and it is nominated for Latin Pop Album at the U.S. Grammy Awards as well. He also voiced a character in Netflix's Jingle Jangle holiday film. He even appeared onRuPaul's Drag Race All Stars as a guest judge and went on the campaign trail for Joe Biden.
