For the past five years, the Gaythering Hotel on South Beach in Miami has hosted Art Gaysel. The event was essentially a group showing, where a number of gay artists took over spaces within the hotel, displaying their work not only for those who just appreciate seeing art, but those looking to buy. And this year, the event is back and bigger than ever.
For the first time, Art Gaysel encompasses three floors of the gay-owned Gaythering hotel, featuring 10 more artist rooms with last year. Alexander Guerra, a co-owner of the hotel, founder of the event, and an artist himself, says that finally Art Gaysel can call itself a "full fair." The event boasts names like Sam Morris, Adam Chuck, Jeremy Lucindo, and Courtney Charles. Here, we preview a handful of the artists who will be selling their work daily from December 4 - 8.
