It Gets Better Is Selling Iguana Pins from Dan Levy's 'SNL' Skit

It Gets Better on Saturday Night Live

A little memento from the star's hosting debut.

There were quite a few laughs the night of Daniel Levy's hosting debut on Saturday Night Live -- though what was arguably the biggest opportunity for chuckles was cut for time. From a sexy skit about Zillow listings to a jazz number replete with a tap dance breakdown, the team really served up some moments. A high point, outside of the aforementioned Zillow ad? When the queer members of the cast and Levy revisited the It Gets Better campaign. Now, the organization is selling a keepsake from the clip.

the impetus of the It Gets Better Project was simple: to show people, specifically LGBTQ+ youth that life gets better after coming out and living your truth. That though things might be rough at the beginning, over time it truly improves. The campaign was a social media campaign and book and is now an organization that has gone on for a decade. The current executive director, Brian Wenke, told ET Canada that he "is honored to be a part of an organization that continues to maintain relevance 10 years after the viral social media campaign that gave it life."

While Levy's SNL skit spoofed the campaign -- essentially it gets better means that gay people now have straight people problems -- the organization appreciated the moment. They appreciated it so much, in fact, that they've released an enamel pin for pre-order. The pin is based on an iguana that Kate McKinnon finds her life centered around and tormented by in the skit.

"While the iguana may have freaked out McKinnon, this adorable pin is the perfect accessory to any outfit, and a hysterical conversation starter," the organization wrote in its announcement.

The limited-edition pin is $20 with all proceeds going to help the It Gets Better mission.
