Celia Ammerman, Cycle 121. What have you been up to since you were on the show?A lot! Besides general gallivanting:
I was the creative director, model, and stylist for a full page spread in the Mother’s Day issue of the
New York Post;
I was in September issues of both
Allureand
Italian Vogue (full page spread, so exciting!);
Had the honor of being in Scott Schuman's hardcover book
The Sartorialist;
Walked in Spring 2010 runway shows for both Ra'mon Lawrence Coleman and Kenley Collins (from
Project Runway);
Currently loving working at Prada;
Performed fashion segments for Tyra on her talk show;
Shot with Altamira for Germany's version of MTV
Working with Altamira for

2. Do you think the show accurately portrays the life of a model?As far as absorbing constant scrutiny and criticism, whether it be aesthetically or intellectually, yes. But if it's needing a moment to collect yourself before a shoot without a camera inches away from your eyeballs, not really, no.
3. What was your favorite challenge?The pose-off -- vogueing. Wigs. Falsies. Sequins. Benny Ninja and his house of queens in full, glorious drag clapping and screaming your name. A girl can get used to that kind of thing.
4. What was your least favorite challenge?There was a “challenge” in which we had to guess the correct expression Tyra was making in faceless, life-size portraits by sticking our face through the holes -- Coney Island–style -- while Mr. Jay analyzed. FAIL.
5. Give us a little dirt on Tyra: Is she as nurturing as she appears? Or what was your favorite memory?Tyra is truly enchanting, spellbinding even -- and yet so delightfully goofy and playful. I remember her being genuinely invested and interested in each one of us. I was honored to be a part of her science experiment.
6. Who was the biggest villain on your season?No response.
7. Who is your favorite supermodel?Just one?! OK. Carmen Kass. She has staying power, impossibly high cheekbones, fairytale hair, and I would kill for her knees!
8. What is your favorite fashion trend right now?High-waisted poofy miniskirts. I LIVE for wearable theatrics -- why blend in to the crowd? (I love AllSaints and Pendleton for Opening Ceremony.)
9. What is your least favorite trend right now?Harem pants. I can't wrap my brain around women intentionally opting for saggy-looking crotches. Sounds like “punishment pants” to me.
10. What's the biggest misconception about models/modeling that you'd like to clear up? That we're smart -- cuz we're not.
