After claiming that he hadn't set a date for the wedding, Stephen Fry married his partner Elliott Spencer on Saturday.
Fry tweeted about the happy occasion, writing "Gosh. ElliottGSpencer and I go into a room as two people, sign a book and leave as one. Amazing." In the tweeted photo, both grooms wear matching green carnation boutonnieres. 
There was another nod to Oscar Wilde--who popularized the gay carnation as a way to signify that one was a gentleman who preferred the company of other gentlemen--as the two had a Wilde doll on the table during the the vows. 
Fry and Elliott--who is 30 years his junior--gave public notice about their intention to marry at a registry office in Dereham, Norfolk--close to where Fry grew up--on December 23 and only publicly announced the engagement on January 6.
Fry's old comedy partner and dear friend Hugh Laurie congratulated the couple via Twitter.
